We introduce to you the brief manufacturing process of resin hair barretta how they are produced.
There are two resin processes, injection type and plastic board type.
We are applying plastic board working process.

Bending

Warming resin upto more than 100 c. softening and then punch out by a press die.

This method is quite acceptable for manufacturing relatively simple form in a mass volume.
The punched out surface will not show any tapered shape, so it will be suitable for such sharp design.

Firstly, prepare the mother base with slots(grooves) (ca. twice bigger than the actual original goods).
Move the guideshaft along the groove of the mainplate, a cutting-bite connected by pantograph punches the other resin left besides out.

This method is suitable for such forms as complicated or certain engraving.
Also shaving process can be done at the same time while punchingout.

In order to match the radius of the metal of hairbaretta, we warm the resin under the temperature around 120 c, and bend.
We also mix resin to resin, or screw and/or bend according to the need of design.

The picture shows catching by a pliers, but we are used to bend by hand-manually, for most of the cases, therefore my thumbfinger became nearly like a hard clot!

Finish

We turn the goods putting into a barrel. (Called as GARA).
Normally rough polishing and polishing up, so twice.
For rough polishing, we turn them with water and polishing sands over 24 through 36 hours. For polishing up, we turn them with water and some coating materials over 3 to 6 hours.

There are different methods in barreling: i.e.dry type barreling with bamboo-chips and wax, or vibrating method, or certrifugal barrel, or whirling type.
This turning method is an original method.

We can not reach beautiful polishing only by barrel grinding.
So we polish by hand using buff with compounds. For such design as mixed by multiple parts, we buff individually, and we buff one more time for finish after assembly.

Concerning compound, there are various and we cannot say which is the best.
Today it is extremely difficult to find such professionals as specialized for amber-products in old time, who can make excellent compounds. We regret very much its tendence.

We fix the metal part of hairbaretta by soldering, fitting into the hole of the bothside of metal.

According to design or idea, afterwards, we add some more parts, or stones, or some brand's plate additionally.

So, we have finally finished now! (nearly all by hand).
